About the Role Senior Specialist, Mechanical Engineer at L3Harris plays a key role in delivering end-to-end mechanical design for defense technology solutions spanning space, air, land, sea and cyber domains. You will apply advanced mechanical engineering principles to design, analyze, test, and optimize components and systems that meet mission-critical requirements. This role supports customers mission and professional growth within an inclusive environment. What You'll Do
- Design and analyze mechanical components and systems for defense technology products.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including electrical, software, and systems engineering to ensure integrated solutions.
- Develop test plans, validate performance, and support qualification and production.
- Ensure compliance with relevant standards and safety guidelines.
- Contribute to program documentation and ongoing product improvement. What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field, or equivalent industry experience.
- Proven experience in mechanical design and analysis for complex systems.
- Proficiency with CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks, Creo) and manufacturing processes.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, mission-focused environment. Nice to Have
- Experience with defense or aerospace hardware is a plus.
- Familiarity with thermal, structural, and vibration analysis.
- Knowledge of design for manufacturability and reliability engineering.
