As a Senior Solution Advisor - ASEAN, Korea & Japan, you will lead the architecture of secure, scalable and outcome-led building solutions that combine controls, software, data, analytics and services. Support regional sales teams from discovery through solution definition, customer approval and delivery handover, ensuring each design addresses business outcomes rather than isolated point products.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead executive and technical discovery workshops to clarify operational, sustainability, occupant-experience, resilience and lifecycle outcomes; translate them into measurable solution requirements.
• Own the target architecture across building management and automation, HVAC controls, energy management, fire and security integration, IoT/edge, cloud or on-premise software, analytics and enterprise interfaces as applicable.
• Define architecture principles, system context, integration patterns, data flows, non-functional requirements, assumptions, risks and decision records; conduct design reviews and approve material deviations.
• Design open and maintainable integrations using relevant building and industrial protocols and APIs, such as BACnet, Modbus, OPC UA, MQTT and REST, while accounting for legacy estates and third-party systems.
• Embed security-by-design: network segmentation, identity and access, secure remote connectivity, patching, logging, data governance and risk controls aligned with customer policy and applicable standards.
• Shape data models, telemetry strategies, fault detection, optimization and AI/analytics use cases; define data quality, explainability and value-realization requirements.
• Partner with sales on account strategy, solution positioning, demonstrations, proposals, RFP/RFI responses, statements of work, estimates, licensing, total cost of ownership and technical risk.
• Lead architecture assessments, technical due diligence, pilots and proofs of concept; define acceptance criteria and demonstrate that the proposed solution can achieve the intended outcomes.
• Provide a controlled handover to engineering and project delivery, including scope boundaries, dependencies, bill of materials, interfaces, test approach and unresolved risks; remain engaged at key design gates.
• Influence customer executives and technical teams and align internal sales, offering, engineering, delivery and support stakeholders in a matrixed organization.
• Create reusable reference architectures, patterns, estimators and presentation assets; run technical training, coaching and knowledge-sharing sessions for sales, partners and solution teams.
• Maintain high technical quality, compliance, transparency and a strong say-do ratio; escalate issues early and make evidence-based trade-offs among value, cost, risk, time and maintainability.

Must Have:

• Demonstrated experience architecting software-enabled solutions in commercial, institutional, industrial or critical building environments.
• Substantial experience in building solutions, building automation, industrial IoT or adjacent technology, including customer-facing technical and consultative selling responsibilities.
• Ability to produce and communicate end-to-end logical and physical architectures, integration designs, deployment models and non-functional requirements.
• Working knowledge of building controls, OT/IT convergence, common building protocols, APIs, data models and integration with enterprise or cloud platforms.
• Experience balancing technical design with scope, estimate, margin, lifecycle cost, delivery feasibility, risk and customer value.
• Strong workshop facilitation, storytelling and executive presentation skills; able to explain complex software architecture clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Proven ability to lead virtual and cross-functional teams, mentor architects or engineers and influence without direct authority.
• Structured root-cause analysis and data-driven decision making, with ownership of actions that affect customer commitments and project timelines.
• Strong proficiency in presentation and spreadsheet tools; comfortable creating architecture diagrams, decision records, estimates and customer-ready documentation.
• Degree or equivalent practical experience in engineering, computer science, building services, controls, information technology or a related discipline.

We Value:

• Experience spanning building management systems, energy or sustainability platforms, connected services, digital twins, smart buildings or enterprise analytics.

• Experience with multi-site, brownfield, high-availability or regulated environments and phased modernization roadmaps.

• Familiarity with OT cybersecurity frameworks and secure architecture practices for connected building systems.

• Experience with cloud platforms, edge computing, event-driven integration, data engineering, APIs and AI-enabled analytics.

• Relevant architecture, cloud, cybersecurity, controls, energy or project/program certifications are advantageous.
