About the Role Join a Platform Product Development team at SimCorp as a Senior Software Engineer. You will leverage your full-stack expertise (Angular, TypeScript, C#, .NET) in the Azure cloud ecosystem to deliver scalable financial technology solutions. This role blends engineering, architectural thinking, and leadership to enable both immediate delivery and long-term sustainability.
What You'll Do
- Review user stories, develop, design, code reviews, and write automated tests across the full development lifecycle.
- Work closely with Product Owner and stakeholders to understand requirements and provide technical insights.
- Set up engineering excellence inside your team and continuously improve it.
- Develop new functionalities; manage quality assurance, refactor existing code, and research tools and frameworks to enable future innovations.
- Collaborate as part of your Scrum team to reach the definition of done within each sprint.
What We're Looking For
- Essential: Over 3 years of practical experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS/SASS, Angular, and Node.js.
- Essential: Over 2 years of direct experience with .NET technologies, focusing on C# and Microsoft .Net.
- Essential: Familiarity with front-end build tools (Webpack, NX, Angular CLI).
- Essential: Experience building responsive, accessible, mobile-friendly web applications.
- Essential: Solid understanding of REST APIs, state management (NGRX), and browser performance tuning.
- Essential: Knowledge of design patterns (OOP, SOLID) and ability to apply them.
- Essential: Knowledge of cloud services, infrastructure, pipelines, and Azure.
- Essential: Practical knowledge of software development practices (TDD, BDD).
- Essential: Experience performing peer reviews and using code quality tools like SonarQube.
- Essential: Experience in CI/CD and DevOps principles.
- Essential: Proficient fundamentals in software testing tools, techniques, and methodologies; experience building unit and integration tests (Selenium, NUnit, Jasmine, Jest).
- Essential: Proficient in Git and cloud-based applications, with Agile experience.
- Essential: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound technical decisions.
Nice to Have
- Knowledge of writing VS Code extensions or Electron-based applications.
- DB experience – SQL.
- Experience in FinTech industry.
