About the Role Senior Backend Engineer at Cyera in R&D, focusing on processing massive data for security AI. You will work with data-heavy pipelines, build features, and collaborate with PMs and data scientists to scale insights while optimizing resources. What You'll Do
- Work with PMs to finalize product requirements and scope
- Work with data scientists to optimize models for massive-scale production
- Design and own new product features
- Locate bottlenecks in our data pipelines and fix them
- Automate and orchestrate processes to improve efficiency
- Improve production monitoring and visibility to handle issues quickly
- Prioritize customer needs and focus on value with lean execution (80/20) and cost-aware design What We're Looking For
- Backend engineering experience with TypeScript/Node.js/NestJS
- Experience processing large-scale data and working with cloud services (AWS, GCP, Azure)
- Strong understanding of databases and cloud security/identity management
- Familiarity with Kubernetes, Kafka, TypeORM, Jest, and microservices
- Ability to design features in collaboration with PMs and data scientists
- Comfortable operating in a lean startup environment and prioritizing impactful work Nice to Have
- Experience building data pipelines for AI/ML workloads and petabyte-scale data
- Knowledge of data security and identity management in cloud environments
- Production monitoring and observability experience
- Security-focused or data-security background
