About this role

A Senior Software Engineer position in SimCorp A/S, based in Copenhagen, within the Product Division. You will join an agile team of about 5-7 people in the Portfolio Analysis Product Area, working on the SimCorp Dimension product and capabilities used by investment professionals to understand portfolios, performance and risk. The role emphasizes real product engineering, solving customer problems, and delivering quality software that evolves alongside business needs while maintaining performance and maintainability.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop and maintain backend functionality and APIs using C# and .NET
  • Work with Dyalog APL and other technologies that are part of the product
  • Contribute to cloud modernization and scalable service design where it adds real value
  • Improve performance, maintainability, testability and developer experience
  • Use CI/CD, automated testing and code reviews as natural parts of daily engineering work
  • Use AI daily as part of practical engineering work, including exploring ideas, understanding unfamiliar code, generating prototypes, improving tests, documenting decisions and automating routine tasks
  • Collaborate with the team to discover where AI can create real value in the development process and where human engineering judgment should lead
  • Work with product owners, domain experts and fellow engineers to translate customer needs into robust software solutions
  • Support the team in continuously improving both the product and the way you work
  • Contribute to design discussions, help the team make sound technical decisions, and support the software you help build

Requirements

  • C# and .NET development
  • Backend development and API design
  • Building high-performance, scalable and maintainable applications
  • Continuous integration and delivery
  • Automated testing and practical quality engineering
  • Experience with relational databases, such as Oracle or similar
  • Cloud technologies, distributed systems or Azure-based services
  • Willingness to learn additional technologies, including Dyalog APL
  • Curiosity about AI-assisted software engineering and how it can improve daily development work
  • Practical experience with financial instruments or investment systems is an advantage but not required; a strong interest and onboarding program will help bring you up to speed
