About the Role A Senior Software Engineer (Platform Data Reliability & Automation) will play a critical role in building, automating, and operating scalable data platforms with a focus on Infrastructure as Code and cloud technologies. The role emphasizes reliability and automation of NoSQL, Streaming, and Caching services across AWS and GCP, delivering resilient infrastructure for billions of transactions and millions of players. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams and apply Development & DBRE principles to improve uptime and velocity across PlayStation.

What You'll Do

• Design and implement Infrastructure as Code and automate provisioning, monitoring, scaling, and lifecycle management of NoSQL, Streaming, and Caching platforms (e.g., Cassandra, Aerospike, Kafka, Redis) across cloud and hybrid environments.
• Drive end-to-end automation to enable repeatable, reliable, and self-service deployment of data services across cloud and hybrid environments.
• Ensure high availability, scalability, and resilience of data platforms powering billions of transactions and millions of players.
• Collaborate with platform and product teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery of high-performance, scalable solutions across PlayStation's global ecosystem.
• Embrace Development & DBRE principles, driving automation-first practices, and applying AI/ML where applicable to enhance uptime and velocity.

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience as a Senior Software Engineer in platform data reliability and automation, building, automating, and operating scalable data platforms with IaC and cloud technologies.
• Deep experience with NoSQL, Streaming, and Caching services (e.g., Cassandra, Aerospike, Kafka, Redis).
• Proficiency across AWS and GCP, with experience designing robust automation frameworks and self-service deployment.
• Strong collaboration with product/platform teams to deliver high-performance, scalable solutions; familiarity with Development and DBRE principles and an automation-first mindset; ability to apply AI/ML where appropriate to improve uptime.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a focus on reducing manual toil while enhancing system uptime.
