About the Role Senior Software Engineer for the OTC Core Product Area, focusing on Functional Programming (OCaml, Scala, Haskell). You will join SimCorp’s Product Division in a cross-functional, cross-located agile team delivering functionality within a module of SimCorp Dimension. You’ll contribute across the full development lifecycle, including requirements, design, implementation, testing, code reviews, automated tests, and product support, using multiple technologies.
What You'll Do
- Develop core functionality to support business modules, including modelling financial instruments and processes via DSLs
- Collaborate with product management to refine new features
- Maintain and improve the existing code base
- Participate in code reviews and design/test scenarios
- Work within an agile team to reach the definition of done each sprint
- Continuously learn and develop yourself, the team and our product
What We're Looking For
- Strong understanding of one or more functional programming languages (OCaml, Standard ML, F#, Scala, Haskell) and experience using them for large and complex solutions
- C# skills and good insight into the .NET framework and OO design is an advantage
- Collaborative professional who actively seeks partnerships to find optimal solutions
- Ability to work with complex architectures, front- and back-end
- MSc or PhD in Computer Science, Mathematics, Finance or a similar field

- Willingness to acquire additional technical and programming skills
- Aspiration to develop and maintain automated tests, underlying frameworks, and CI/CD integrations
