Job title: Senior Software Engineer – OpenText
About the Role Join ASSET Technology Group as a Senior Software Engineer focused on OpenText ECM implementations. You will translate requirements into robust designs, develop and integrate software components, and drive quality through testing and prototyping across ECM platforms.
What You'll Do
- Develops, verifies requirements and analysis documents and ensures their quality and accurate coverage of the project scope.
- Explores different technical topics and tools to assess the feasibility of the given requirements.
- Develops, reviews, and validates design and design documents (Architecture, database and detailed design) to ensure their compliance with the project requirements.
- Develops and presents Software POC and prototypes whenever required for project success.
- Performs the programming activities related to the development of Software products, systems, and projects.
- Research and examines Software alternatives, different technical topics and tools to assess and explore the feasibility of a given requirement.
- Conducts unit testing for the developed code, troubleshoots, debugs and fixes any issues.
- Reviews defects reports, checks the root cause for different types of defects, and ensures proper resolution.
- Reports accurate tasks status in timely manner to direct supervisor.
What We're Looking For
- 3–4 years of experience.
- Experience in ECM platforms such as OpenText, Documentum, FileNet, or similar.
- Strong knowledge of document management systems, workflow automation, and content lifecycle management.
- Hands-on experience in system integration, APIs, and customization of ECM platforms.
- Proficiency in programming languages and scripting (e.g., Java, (J2EE), JavaScript, or Python).
