Job title: Senior Software Engineer- Networking
About the Role Databricks is building Networking Infrastructure as a core part of its data and AI platform. As one of the seed members of the Bangalore site, you will focus on building backend connectivity services that power millions of VMs and enable connectivity between the control plane and compute plane. This role combines hands-on software engineering with leadership to design scalable networking systems.
What You'll Do
- Build and own backend connectivity services that scale to millions of VMs on the Databricks platform.
- Lead the design and development of services powering connectivity between the control plane and compute plane.
- Collaborate with product management, operations, and other engineering teams to deliver robust, scalable, and efficient networking systems.
- Solve multi-cloud and distributed systems challenges in a fast-paced environment with a hands-on leadership approach.
What We're Looking For
- 8+ years of production-level experience in Python, Java, Scala, C++, or similar language.
- 4+ years of experience developing large-scale distributed systems from scratch.
- Experience working on a SaaS platform or with Service-Oriented Architectures.
- Extensive experience working in the Networking domain.
Nice to Have
- Experience with multi-cloud environments and cloud connectivity.
- Prior experience leading or mentoring teams is a plus.
