About the Role As one of the first engineers for the Money team in Databricks India, you will help build the core infrastructure that governs usage and billing across Databricks products. You will own critical components such as resource admission control and usage governance, and you'll collaborate with infrastructure and product teams to deliver reliable governance capabilities at scale.
What You'll Do
- Own Money systems and services that govern usage of all Databricks products and offerings.
- Enhance engineering and infrastructure efficiency, reliability, accuracy, and response times, including CI/CD processes, test frameworks, data quality assurance, end-to-end reconciliation, and anomaly detection.
- Collaborate with platform and product teams to develop and implement innovative infrastructure that scales to meet evolving needs.
- Contribute to long-term vision and requirements development for Databricks products, in partnership with our engineering teams.
What We're Looking For
- BS (or higher) in Computer Science or a related field.
- 7+ years of production-level experience in Java, Scala, C++, or similar language.
- Proven track record in architecting, developing, deploying, and operating components of large-scale distributed systems.
- Comfortable working towards a multi-quarter vision with incremental deliverables.
- Experience with software security and systems that handle sensitive data.
- Demonstrated ability to lead engineering projects across functional and organizational boundaries.
- A proactive approach and a passion for delivering high-quality solutions.
- Experience with cloud technologies, e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP, Docker, Kubernetes.
