Summary: Builds and operates the next generation of Azure Monitor’s cloud-scale observability platform, which collects, processes, stores, and analyzes massive volumes of monitoring and diagnostic data. The role combines backend infrastructure with full-stack development, particularly React/JavaScript on the frontend and C# on the backend, while incorporating AI technologies into observability experiences.
Key responsibilities:
- Design and implement cloud-native infrastructure for Azure Observability.
- Own features end-to-end: design, coding, testing, deployment, monitoring, and production support.
- Build telemetry, troubleshooting, and automation systems.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, observability, and platform teams.
- Participate in on-call and incident response.
- Improve reliability, security, observability, and operational efficiency.
- Apply Generative AI, LLMs, RAG, and cloud-scale data platforms to products and developer workflows.
- Mentor developers and help drive technical direction across teams.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s in Computer Science or related technical field + 4+ years software engineering experience.
- Strong programming experience in C/C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, Python, or similar.
- Preferred: Azure/Fabric/AWS, React, JavaScript, Knockout, C#, AI/LLMs/RAG, and production cloud-service experience.
Work: 3 days/week in-office | Travel
