About this role
A Hearing Ambassador supports licensed dispensers in meeting goals and fulfilling daily duties. This on-site role at the Sam’s Club Hearing Aid Center in Orlando, FL engages customers, supports hearing health needs, educates individuals about hearing wellness, schedules appointments, and drives growth through community outreach and relationship building.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a working knowledge of all Hearing Aid Center products and services.
- Set the stage for full hearing tests and purchases when interacting with Members.
- Complete 30–50 outbound calls daily to prospective and/or existing customers.
- Secure a minimum of four immediate or scheduled full hearing tests daily for the hearing aid specialist or audiologist working in the center.
- Promote and sell non-hearing‑aid products when Members do not have a hearing loss.
- Achieve a 50% increase in non-hearing‑aid product sales.
- Learn and use the handheld screener (where state regulations permit) as an intercepting tool to qualify leads.
- Assist, as needed, with contacting past tested Members, with or without sales, and medical referrals to schedule return visits.
- Promote the Hearing Aid Center during Sam’s Club events, HAC events, and potentially external marketing events.
- While based in the HAC, spend approximately 95% of time walking the club, intercepting, and setting tests.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong customer service, sales, or retail experience.
- Experience with PC hardware and software and general computer and Internet knowledge.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, along with organizational, problem-solving/troubleshooting, and presentation abilities.
- Previous experience with patient/customer appointment scheduling.
- Proficiency with basic computer systems and scheduling software.
