About the Role As a Senior Software Engineer on the Microsoft Security Exposure Management (MSEM) team, you'll help build the platform that empowers every organization to see, understand, and reduce their security risk before attackers can exploit it. Positioned at the heart of Microsoft Security's Securing AI pillar, you'll contribute to building scalable security risk management capabilities across Microsoft's security portfolio. What You'll Do
- Design, develop, test, and maintain software components for the MSEM platform and adjacent services.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, reliable software that helps customers see and reduce security risk.
- Contribute to system architecture, code reviews, performance optimizations, and incident response.
- Define and improve engineering standards, testing strategies, and deployment processes.
- Mentor junior engineers and participate in design discussions. What We're Looking For
- Strong software engineering experience with a track record of delivering scalable platforms.
- Proficiency in modern programming languages and cloud-based architectures; experience with security-focused software is a plus.
- Ability to work across teams, communicate effectively, and translate security requirements into technical designs.
- Passion for reducing risk and improving security outcomes for customers. Nice to Have
- Experience with security exposure management, telemetry, and Securing AI initiatives; familiarity with Microsoft security stack is a plus.
