About the Role Senior Software Engineer II for the ML/AI Platform at InstaCart will contribute to building and maintaining scalable ML infrastructure to accelerate product development. This is a hybrid remote role. What You'll Do
- Design, implement, and operate components of the ML/AI platform to enable scalable ML workflows
- Collaborate with data scientists, ML engineers, and product teams to deliver impactful features
- Improve reliability, performance, and security of platform services; mentor junior engineers What We're Looking For
- Strong software engineering background with track record of shipping production-grade systems
- Experience with ML platforms, distributed systems, and data pipelines
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, Scala) and modern software development practices
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills Nice to Have
- Experience with MLOps tooling, experiment tracking, or AI model serving
- Familiarity with cloud platforms and scalable infrastructure
