About the Role Senior Software Engineer II on Instacart's Core Experience team will contribute to building and maintaining the core user experience that powers the Instacart platform. This role operates in a hybrid remote environment and partners with product, design, and engineering to deliver scalable, reliable software. What You'll Do
- Design, develop, and maintain core experience components and services that drive user interactions on Instacart.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to define requirements and ship high-quality features.
- Write clean, well-tested code, participate in code reviews, and help improve performance and reliability of critical systems. What We're Looking For
- Strong software engineering fundamentals and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience building scalable web applications and services.
- Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate across cross-functional teams. Nice to Have
- Experience with distributed systems, data modeling, and performance optimization.
- Familiarity with modern tech stacks and developer tooling used at Instacart.
