About the Role ICON is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our team in Chennai, India, on a hybrid/office-based basis. You will design and develop scalable software solutions to support clinical trial operations and research processes, contributing to technology initiatives and software architecture evolution.
What You'll Do
- Designing, developing, and maintaining scalable software applications to support clinical trial operations and data management.
- Collaborating with product managers, designers, and other engineers to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Participating in code reviews, ensuring adherence to best practices and high standards of software quality.
- Troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues, contributing to continuous improvement of development processes.
- Staying current with emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation and improve software functionality.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- 5+ years of experience with strong expertise in .NET Core, Angular, JavaScript, Oracle or SQL Server; strong OOP concepts; familiarity with Agile methodology.
- Proven experience in engineering analysis, with a strong understanding of systems and process optimization.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Proficiency in relevant engineering software and tools, with in-depth understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
