Senior Software Engineer/Head of Engineering
Our client, an early-stage HealthTech startup, is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to join their team in Manhattan, New York. The successful candidate will play a key role in building backend systems, helping make product decisions and turning emerging AI capabilities into software for healthcare teams across the U.S.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop and scale backend systems for an AI-powered healthcare platform.
- Own features from initial concept through to production.
- Work with users and the wider team to understand needs and shape product decisions.
- Research and test new AI capabilities, then turn promising approaches into reliable features.
- Help establish engineering practices as the team grows.
Skillset:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or similar.
- Strong backend engineering experience, ideally building a new product or scaling one through growth.
- Previous experience in a startup environment.
- Ability to work independently and make sound technical and product decisions.
- Experience building and scaling your own product is a bonus.
- Previous experience working in US healthcare or health technology would be an advantage.
