About the Role We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to help build and evolve our seismic processing platform. This role is primarily focused on backend engineering, distributed compute systems, cloud-native services, and scalable microservice architectures. The successful candidate will contribute to high-performance processing workflows, platform scalability, and modern engineering practices while also supporting web-based application development when needed. What You'll Do
- Build and evolve our seismic processing platform, focusing on backend engineering, distributed compute, cloud-native services, and scalable microservice architectures.
- Contribute to high-performance processing workflows, platform scalability, and modern engineering practices; support web-based application development when needed.
- Leverage AI-powered development tools to improve engineering efficiency and software quality.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams and contribute to web applications as needed. What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 7+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Strong Java and Cloud services experience.
- Experience utilizing AI-assisted engineering tools in day-to-day software development.
- Experience designing and supporting microservice-based systems.
- Experience with distributed compute platforms or large-scale processing systems.
- Experience with Kubernetes, containers, and cloud-native deployments.
- Experience building and consuming REST APIs.
- Experience contributing to modern web applications using JavaScript/TypeScript-based frameworks.
- Experience working within Agile development teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, evolving environment. Nice to Have
- Oil & Gas industry experience.
