Senior Software Engineer - Fullstack

About the Role Databricks is hiring a Senior Software Engineer - Fullstack to help build and scale the data and AI infrastructure platform with a strong focus on delivering delightful user experiences. You will collaborate with product management and engineers to deliver features across product areas such as SQL Analytics, Jobs and Workflows, and Developer Ecosystem.

What You'll Do

• Build frontend and backend features for Databricks products with a strong emphasis on UX and performance.
• Collaborate with product management to translate requirements into deliverables and drive incremental progress toward a multi-year vision.
• Contribute to architecture and implementation across large-scale distributed systems, using modern JavaScript frameworks and server-side technologies.
• Work with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP), Docker, and Kubernetes to deploy and operate services.
• Help design, develop, deploy, and operate services across multiple teams (SQL Analytics Console, Jobs & Workflows, Developer Ecosystem, Apps Developer Experience).

What We're Looking For

• BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or a related field; 5+ years of experience.
• 5+ years of experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Passion for user experience and front-end architecture.
• Comfortable working toward a multi-year vision with incremental deliverables.
• Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks (React, Angular, Vue.js/Ember).
• Strong familiarity with server-side web technologies (Node.js, Java, Python, Scala, C#, C++, Go, JVM).
• Good knowledge of SQL.
• Experience with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP), Docker, Kubernetes.
• Experience in architecting, developing, deploying, and operating large-scale distributed systems.

Nice to Have

• Experience with developer ecosystem tools (SDK, CLI, Terraform).
• Experience contributing to app development platforms (AppKit, code generation tools).
• Familiarity with MCP servers and Cursor/Claude Code projects and skills initiatives within the Databricks ecosystem.
