Job title: Senior Software Engineer - Fullstack
About the Role Databricks is seeking a Senior Software Engineer - Fullstack to help realize the vision of building data and AI infrastructure that is robust, scalable, and delightful for customers. You will work with product management and cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end features and shape the user experience, from UI to server-side components, as Databricks expands its Vancouver R&D presence.
What You'll Do
- Collaborate with product management and cross-functional teams to design and deliver end-to-end fullstack features.
- Build and maintain highly usable front-end interfaces using modern JavaScript frameworks.
- Develop server-side components and services that scale across distributed systems.
- Participate in architectural decisions and contribute to the evolution of the product and infrastructure.
- Champion user experience and work towards a multi-year vision with incremental deliverables.
- Drive value for customers by delivering practical, high-impact features.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- 5+ years of experience with server-side web technologies (e.g., Node.js, Java, Python, Scala, C#, C++, Go).
- Deep understanding of front-end architecture and passion for UX/design.
- Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks (React, Angular, Vue.js, Ember).
- Good knowledge of SQL.
- Experience with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP) and with Docker or Kubernetes.
- Experience developing large-scale distributed systems.
Nice to Have
- Comfort with a multi-year product vision and delivering incremental value along the way.
- Prior experience in data/AI infrastructure or related domains.
Compensation & Benefits
- Canada Pay Range: $146,200—$201,100 CAD (annual base, non-commissioned)
- Total compensation may include annual performance bonus, equity, and standard benefits listed by Databricks.
