About the Role Join FTSE Russell (LSEG) engineering to modernise and scale the FTSE platform, a cloud-native, low-latency system that operates at global scale and underpins critical investment products used worldwide. You will contribute across individual contributor and leadership roles across a varied technical stack, delivering high-performance, reliable solutions for global finance. What You'll Do
- Work on modernising and scaling the FTSE platform as a hands-on engineer (cloud-native, low-latency, global scale)
- Take on roles from individual contributor to leadership across a varied technical stack
- Solve challenges where performance, data quality, and reliability are non-negotiable
- Leverage AWS cloud and AI-assisted development tooling to accelerate delivery while maintaining control
- Apply AI-assisted development tooling to improve engineering productivity What We're Looking For
- Experience developing software using Java, Python, C++, or C#
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure
- Knowledge of CI/CD, automation, testing, and modern engineering practices
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Interest in AI and emerging technologies
- Ability to collaborate effectively across global teams
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent practical experience Nice to Have
- Experience in one or more of the following areas: Software Engineering, Data Engineering, Cloud & Platform Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), AI & Machine Learning, DevOps & Automation, Architecture & Distributed Systems, Analytics & Data Platforms Compensation & Benefits
