About this role

Job title: Senior Software Engineer for Reconcile & TradeLifeCycle

About the Role Senior Software Engineer will contribute to the development of enterprise products in SimCorp's Investment Operations Product Area, focusing on the Financial Instruments’ Life Cycle. You will join a self-organized Scrum team and collaborate with colleagues across Ukraine, Poland, Denmark and Germany to deliver robust, automated solutions.

What You'll Do

  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented C# code, adhering to established coding standards.
  • Learn and work with APL, including developing new features and debugging existing functionality, with full support from our team.
  • Design, develop, and test new features to support the existing product; create test cases and automated tests (E2E, API, UT).
  • Communicate and collaborate with the Team, Product Owner, and Technical Leads throughout feature analysis, refinement, development and implementation.
  • Analyze functional and non-functional requirements during feature refinements; support the product.
  • Prepare and conduct Sprint reviews/DEMOs; initiate technical and process enhancements; improve automation, tools, frameworks.
  • Work as a full-stack developer (front-end and back-end, SOA).

What We're Looking For

  • A M.Sc. in Finance, Computer Science, Mathematics or a similar field.
  • Good knowledge and experience (3+ years) in C# (.NET or .NET Framework).
  • Knowledge and experience in the financial domain; fintech or derivatives experience is an advantage.
  • Experience in both manual and automated testing; ability to design comprehensive test strategies (E2E, API, UT).
  • Experience with Cloud and On-Prem infrastructures.
  • Curiosity and readiness to learn in-house tools and frameworks.
  • Understanding and adherence to XP practices (TDD, pair-programming, etc.).
  • Deep knowledge of relational databases (Oracle, SQLite, etc.).
  • Awareness of CI/CD processes and tools (Git, TeamCity, etc.).
  • Readiness to support existing systems (legacy).
  • Experience with Domain-Driven Design is a plus.
  • Good English skills (upper intermediate or higher), both written and spoken.
  • Ability and willingness to apply broad knowledge across different areas and to learn new things.
  • Experience as a member of a Scrum team.
