About the Role Senior Software Engineer to join the Endpoint Data Protection team at Cato Networks. You will design, develop and maintain core components of our endpoint clients for Windows and Mac, powering hundreds of thousands of users worldwide, and help advance low-level capabilities at the heart of file, device and network protection.

What You'll Do

• Develop core low-level components for our clients on Windows and Mac
• Research new technologies, including ways to use AI to accelerate engineering and product capabilities
• Take ownership on new features and lead collaborative efforts end to end
• Support the entire application lifecycle, including release management and supporting production
• Collaborate with quality assurance, technical support, product management and other engineering teams to deliver integrated features

What We're Looking For

• BSc. degree in Computer Science from a known university or equivalent experience
• Excellent understanding of software engineering principles and best practices
• 3+ years of hands-on software engineering experience
• Hands-on production experience with C, C++ or Rust
• Strong low-level systems experience on a desktop operating system — Windows, macOS or Linux
• Good understanding of multithreaded development, synchronization and data structures
• Experience with networking, network protocols and networking environments
• Experience building security software on the endpoint (EPP/EDR or similar) – Major advantage
• Experience with low-level OS work such as drivers, system extensions or kernel-adjacent code – Advantage
• Familiarity with additional languages used across our stack (C#, Swift, Python; occasionally Java/Go or backend services) – Advantage
• Curiosity, and ideally hands-on experience, applying AI to make engineering and products better – Advantage
