About the Role CTC's TAPE team owns the firm's critical trade and positions system, delivering real-time risk awareness and seamless integration across every trading desk. The Senior Software Engineer will help modernize the core infrastructure to support scalability, higher volume, and sophisticated trading strategies, tackling distributed architectures and ultra-low latency systems. This role shapes the future of our trade processing capabilities in a high-performance financial technology environment.
What You'll Do
- Drive modernization of core trade processing infrastructure on the TAPE platform.
- Design and implement distributed, low-latency components for real-time risk and trading risk awareness.
- Collaborate with the TAPE team and broader technology organization to deliver scalable architecture and systems for high-volume trading.
- Own components through the full software lifecycle from design to production.
- Optimize performance and reliability in production trading environments.
- Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with quantitative researchers to translate business requirements into robust software.
What We're Looking For
- Strong software engineering experience with distributed systems, high-throughput, and ultra-low latency real-time processing in production.
- Track record delivering critical production systems in finance/trading or related domains.
- Ability to collaborate across teams, be proactive, and excel in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.
- Familiarity with modern development practices, CI/CD, and on-call ownership.

Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $200,000—$225,000 USD. This role is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus dependent on skills, experience, qualifications, and firm performance.
