About the Role As a Senior Software Developer you will be a key member of our technology team in Waalwijk, translating complex functional and technical requirements into robust, scalable solutions for our e-commerce fulfilment business. In a technology-driven organization, you will make strategic decisions on architecture and tooling and lead the implementation of innovative software solutions for our e-commerce operations.
You will serve as a technical sparring partner for fellow developers and business stakeholders. Together with product owners and business analysts, you will analyze, validate and translate requirements into high-quality software. You take ownership of the quality of the development process—from architecture to deployment—and actively contribute to knowledge-building within the team and organization.
You will become part of an experienced, multidisciplinary team based in Waalwijk, working with Agile/Scrum methodologies to deliver value quickly and iteratively to our customers. What You'll Do
- Technical leadership within software projects
- Design and implement scalable, secure and maintainable web applications and services
- Apply and improve software-architecture principles and patterns
- Proactively contribute to code quality via peer reviews, CI/CD and test automation
- Analyze and solve complex technical challenges and production issues
- Actively coach and mentor medior and junior developers
- Collaborate intensively with business stakeholders when shaping technical solutions What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's or Master's in Informatics, Software Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years of professional software development experience, with a focus on backend development
- Deep knowledge of PHP (Symfony), MySQL, and experience with modular, scalable architectures
- Experience with containerization (Docker) and cloud platforms (preferably AWS)
- Familiar with Agile/Scrum and DevOps practices
- Good communication skills in Dutch and/or English

- Salary: €4,158.69 – €6,021.71 gross per month, depending on experience and education
- 8% holiday allowance
- 25 vacation days plus up to 4 extra days with low sickness absence
