About the Role
Senior Software Developer with strong C++ and C# skills, working on on-premise or cloud platforms, providing hands-on technical leadership in new product development and maintenance. The role focuses on delivering complex, large-scale, public-facing applications and APIs, with solid knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD, and test automation.
What You'll Do
- Key contributor within a Scrum team, contributing to high performance and best practices.
- Develop Avigilon Unity Video Products used by security professionals worldwide.
- Build trust, mentor teammates, and champion a culture of continuous learning and growth.
- Define and execute build pipelines, containerization, DevOps tooling, and test automation.
- Deliver end-to-end software solutions including design, architecture, implementation, maintenance, and user support.
- Grow and train the software organization, fostering collaboration and providing technical guidance.
- Uphold rigorous standards for software development and quality.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
- 5+ years of software development experience.
- Extensive experience in C++.
- Experience working with large code bases and databases (Berkeley, Postgres).
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Experience with on-premise or cloud platforms is a plus.
Nice to Have
- Successful delivery of a large-scale public-facing application.
- Strong knowledge of CI/CD, test automation, and DevOps.
- Experience developing cloud applications in Azure.
- Experience developing applications in C++, C# and .NET.
Compensation & Benefits
- Target base salary range: $120,000 - 155,000 CAD (salary range varies by knowledge, skills, and experience).
- 10% dedicated time for continuous learning and professional development (1 day every two weeks).
