Senior SOC Analyst

Job Summary

• Zoracom is seeking an experienced Senior Security Operations Centre (SOC) Analyst to lead security monitoring, threat detection, incident investigation, and response activities. The successful candidate will help strengthen the organisation’s security posture, improve detection capabilities, and protect critical systems and infrastructure against cyber threats.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and investigate security alerts, logs, and potential cyber threats.
• Lead security incident analysis, response, escalation, and root-cause investigations.
• Use SIEM and EDR/XDR tools to detect, analyse, and respond to threats.
• Conduct threat hunting and improve detection rules and monitoring processes.
• Prepare incident reports and recommend security improvements.
• Collaborate with technical teams to strengthen security controls and mentor junior analysts.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or HND in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years’ relevant cybersecurity experience, including hands-on SOC operations.
• Strong experience with SIEM platforms such as Microsoft Sentinel, Splunk, or IBM QRadar.
• Good knowledge of network security, endpoint protection, incident response, and threat intelligence.
• Familiarity with MITRE ATT&CK, NIST, or ISO 27001 is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and reporting skills.

Preferred Certifications

• CompTIA CySA+, Security+, GIAC, Certified SOC Analyst, or equivalent certifications are an advantage.
