About the role

An exciting opportunity exists for a Senior SMP Designer to join Stantec's Energy & Resources team in Brisbane. As a key member of our Design Team, you'll contribute to the delivery of mining and resource sector projects across a range of commodities and project stages, from studies and concept development through to detailed design and execution.

Working closely with multidisciplinary teams, you'll bring a client-focused approach, strong technical design capability, and the ability to coordinate effectively across engineering disciplines to deliver high-quality project outcomes.

To be successful in this role, you'll bring:

• 8 years' experience in mining industry design
• Strong proficiency in AutoDesk, Bentley OpenPlant and MicroStation design tools
• Experience with design of mineral processing facilities and associated infrastructure
• Previous experience in a Senior SMP Designer or similar role (candidates with only structural or mechanical design experience will be considered)
• Sound understanding of industry standards, design practices, and project delivery requirements
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
• A proactive, collaborative, and solutions-focused approach
• High attention to detail and commitment to quality
