What this Journey Looks Like
We are looking for a Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join a project for a fintech company based in Canada.
This is an initial 6-month engagement with a strong possibility of extension.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in production application support and systems administration, with hands-on experience supporting enterprise applications across Linux and Windows environments.
Experience with IBM Content Manager OnDemand (CMOD) is highly desirable. We are particularly interested in engineers with hands-on experience in application support, automation, patching, upgrades, troubleshooting, and production operations.
Strong English communication skills are required to collaborate effectively with technical teams in Canada.
What You'll Lead and Build
Provide production application support, troubleshooting application and system issues.
Maintain, troubleshoot, and support Linux and Windows Server environments.
Support IBM Content Manager OnDemand (CMOD) environments and related components.
Perform and support application and system upgrades, patching, and maintenance activities.
Plan and execute production changes, including testing, validation, and rollback procedures.
Automate recurring operational and application support tasks using Ansible and scripting tools.
Monitor application and infrastructure health, availability, and performance.
Investigate and resolve production incidents and perform root cause analysis.
Participate in on-call and incident response activities when required.
Collaborate with application, infrastructure, vendor, and other technical teams.
Maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and operational procedures.
What You Bring to the Table Must-Have
4+ years of experience in Application Support, Systems Administration, SRE, Infrastructure Engineering, or similar production support roles.
Experience with IBM Content Manager OnDemand (CMOD) or similar Enterprise Content Management (ECM) platforms.
Experience automating patching, upgrades, application maintenance, or health checks.
Strong experience providing application support in production environments.
Strong hands-on Linux administration and troubleshooting experience.
Intermediate to advanced experience with Windows Server environments.
Hands-on experience with patch management and production upgrades.
Experience automating operational tasks using Ansible and/or Bash, Python, or PowerShell.
Experience troubleshooting complex application and infrastructure issues.
Experience with incident management and root cause analysis.
Experience with monitoring and observability tools.
Good understanding of networking and infrastructure concepts.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Excellent English communication skills.
-Ability to work independently and collaborate with distributed technical teams.
Nice-to-Have
Experience with Active Directory and Windows infrastructure administration.
Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS.
Previous experience working in fintech, financial services, or highly available production environments.
