Job title: Senior Site Reliability Engineer
About the Role As a Senior Site Reliability Engineer at SimCorp, you will own monitoring, observability, release management, vulnerability management, cost management, and audit & compliance for Azure-based cloud-native products and services. You will collaborate with DevOps, clients and stakeholders to ensure reliability, performance, and automation across existing and new cloud-native offerings.
What You'll Do
- Support the operational and enhancement of mission-critical environments for both new and existing Cloud Native products & services
- Collaborate with product development teams to enhance monitoring, observability, reliability, and performance
- Collaborate across engineering teams to understand systems at the code level
- Manage and improve infrastructure deployment pipelines; troubleshoot onboarding and operational issues
- Drive capacity planning to ensure resilience and scalability
- Build tools and automation to reduce manual toil and boost engineering velocity
- Define and manage SLOs and error budgets with Engineering teams
- Contribute to incidents, problems and change management processes
- Execute disaster recovery, configuration management and platform readiness tasks
- Flexible working in regular and evening shifts on rotation; weekend/on-call support as needed
- Collaborate with Agile teams and participate in design discussions with clients, vendors and stakeholders
- Contribute to knowledge sharing across Product Areas
- Leverage ITIL practices including problem, change and incident management
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (Master’s preferred)
- 3+ years in Site Reliability, DevOps, or Cloud Engineering roles
- Expertise with Microsoft Azure Cloud
- IaC experience using Bicep, ARM and Terraform
- Strong monitoring/logging experience (Azure Monitor, Application Insights, DataDog, Log Analytics)
- Hands-on experience with IdP onboarding and integrating IdP solutions (Azure Entra ID, Okta, KeyCloak, PingFederate)
- Experience centralizing authentication and implementing secure access protocols (SAML, OAuth, OIDC)
- Experience with observability frameworks like OpenTelemetry and distributed tracing
- Experience with application reliability platforms like Checkly or similar
- Experience setting up synthetic monitoring (Playwright or equivalent)
- Knowledge of AI/ML-based anomaly detection and log aggregation/analysis tools (Azure Anomaly Detector or equivalent)
- Experience with Defender Suite (EDR/XDR) and Defender for Cloud; proficient in KQL for threat hunting
- Ability to identify and remediate vulnerabilities
- Understanding of networking, containerization (Kubernetes, Docker)
- Proficiency with APIs, scripting languages (PowerShell, Bash, Kusto) and databases (SQL, Cosmos DB, PostgreSQL)
- Familiarity with SimCorp Dimension and Salesforce a plus
- ITSM ITIL proficiency: incident, change and problem management
- Experience managing onboarding projects and live production operations
- Collaborative, cross-functional teamwork mindset
- Interest in continuous learning within your Product Area

- AI/ML anomaly detection experience
