Job title: Senior Site Reliability Engineer - Azure Platform

About the Role Senior Site Reliability Engineer embedded within one of our Azure Product Areas to ensure reliability, performance, and automation for SimCorp's SaaS offering. You will work closely with engineers, clients, and stakeholders to drive stability and operational excellence in Azure-based environments while supporting SimCorp's cloud-native transformation guided by ITIL and SRE best practices.

What You'll Do

  • Provision, configure, and manage Azure resources (Virtual Machines, Storage, Virtual Networks) as part of infrastructure management.
  • Deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot Kubernetes clusters and workloads following reliability, scalability, and security best practices.
  • Support the operation and enhancement of mission-critical environments for both new and existing clients.
  • Align client requirements to platform capabilities; contribute to platform evolution.
  • Manage infrastructure deployment pipelines and troubleshoot onboarding and operational issues.
  • Implement and support scalable, secure, and reliable Azure architectures tailored to business needs.
  • Configure and support third-party software (e.g., IDP, SFTP) in client environments.
  • Understand concepts of VPNs, VNets, and Private Link.
  • Migrate on-premises infrastructure services to Azure-based solutions.
  • Execute disaster recovery, configuration management, and infrastructure readiness tasks.
  • Contribute to incident, problem, and change management processes.
  • Provide weekend or on-call support as needed.
  • Collaborate in Agile teams and participate in design discussions with clients, vendors, and stakeholders.
  • Contribute to knowledge sharing within the Product Area.
  • Leverage ITIL practices including problem, change, and incident management.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field; 3-5+ years in Site Reliability, DevOps, or Cloud Engineering.
  • Expertise with Microsoft Azure; AWS exposure is helpful.
  • Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform; Bicep, ARM, Ansible are a plus.
  • Hands-on experience with monitoring and logging tools (Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Log Analytics, Grafana).
  • SLI/SLO management: defining and tracking indicators to ensure high platform availability.
  • Familiarity with SimCorp Dimension is a strong plus.
  • Experience managing onboarding projects and live production operations.
  • Understanding of networking, virtualization, and containerization (Kubernetes, Docker).
  • Comfortable with Linux and Windows systems, APIs, scripting (PowerShell, Bash), and SQL.
  • Collaborative mindset and ability to work in cross-functional teams.
  • Interest in continuous learning and growth within your Product Area.

Nice to Have

  • Familiarity with SimCorp Dimension is a strong plus.
  • AWS exposure (if not already covered in requirements).

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary range for Toronto: CAD 99,840.00 - CAD 149,760.00 (annual)
  • Base pay may vary based on experience, skills, and qualifications.
  • Eligible for annual discretionary bonus; health and dental care, time off, and Group RRSP/TFSA.
  • SimCorp follows a global hybrid policy: work from the office two days per week and remotely on other days.
