Senior Site Reliability Engineer

Section: About the Role

• 247 Labs Limited is seeking an experienced Senior Site Reliability Engineer to manage and improve the reliability, availability, performance, and security of its production platforms, including sportsbook, wallet, and social systems. The successful candidate will oversee cloud infrastructure, deployment pipelines, incident management, disaster recovery, and operational efficiency. Section: Key Responsibilities
• Maintain production service reliability, availability, and performance against established objectives.
• Manage AWS cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes/Amazon EKS, networking, and load balancing.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure as code, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment automation.
• Manage PostgreSQL, Redis, and Kafka infrastructure in collaboration with backend engineers.
• Build observability systems covering metrics, logs, tracing, dashboards, and alerting.
• Lead incident response, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions.
• Maintain backup strategies, disaster recovery procedures, and resilience testing.
• Implement infrastructure security controls, access management, encryption, and system hardening.
• Monitor cloud expenditure and optimise resource utilisation.
• Collaborate with engineering teams, establish reliability standards, and mentor engineers.
• Maintain technical documentation and support applicable regulatory and licensing requirements. Section: Requirements
• Demonstrable experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, Platform Engineering, Cloud Infrastructure, or a related field.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS and Kubernetes/Amazon EKS.
• Experience with cloud networking, DNS, load balancing, content delivery, and infrastructure as code.
• Proven experience managing CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
• Strong knowledge of observability, incident management, and production troubleshooting.
• Experience with PostgreSQL, Redis, and Kafka.
• Understanding of high availability, disaster recovery, capacity planning, and performance optimisation.
• Knowledge of infrastructure security, secrets management, encryption, and access controls.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to participate in on-call support, including evenings, weekends, and major sporting events when required. Section: What We Offer
