Senior Security Analyst

About the Role We are seeking a Senior Security Analyst to join our Information Security & Privacy team. This role is a senior technical contributor responsible for designing, implementing, and maturing key components of our security program in a K-12 school environment. You will lead security initiatives across security operations, endpoint protection, cloud security, DLP, compliance, and privacy, partnering with cross-functional teams.

What You'll Do

• Serve as senior technical contributor responsible for designing, implementing, and continuously improving key components of the security program.
• Independently lead complex security initiatives and influence security strategy across cross-functional teams.
• Be hands-on across multiple domains including security operations, endpoint protection, cloud security, DLP, compliance, and privacy; partner with business and technology teams to embed security across functions.
• Own the endpoint security strategy and operations; proactively identify risks, lead investigations, drive remediation, and continuously improve protections.
• Lead the evolution of our email security program with advanced detection, DLP, and anti-phishing controls while strengthening defenses against emerging attack techniques.
• Act as the security lead for cross-functional technology initiatives, providing technical guidance and ensuring security is embedded in architecture, engineering, and operational decisions.
• Design, implement, and mature security processes across incident response, vulnerability management, IAM, data protection, and security monitoring.
• Stay ahead of threats and security trends; vet and recommend new tools as appropriate.
• Collaborate with cloud engineering teams to resolve security vulnerabilities in cloud environments.

What We're Looking For

• 8+ years of professional experience in cybersecurity, including independently leading security initiatives within cloud-first organizations.
• Strong hands-on experience with endpoint security platforms.
• Expertise in security administration.
• Expertise in advanced email security platforms.
• Expertise with identity and access management platforms.
• Strong understanding of security architecture, IAM, cloud networking, workload protection, and vulnerability management.
• Experience designing security controls rather than merely administering security tools.
• Compliance & Privacy: experience implementing security controls aligned with relevant standards.
• Mindset: meticulous and tenacious in identifying and resolving security risks.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to convey security concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience working in or with large-scale educational environments is a plus.

Nice to Have

• Experience preferred in relevant tools.
• Experience in education sector (K-12) is a plus.

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary range: $150,000—$170,000 USD. This position is not bonus eligible.
