Senior Scrum Master

Role overview

Svitla Systems Inc. is looking for a Senior Scrum Master for a full-time position (40 hours per week) in LATAM. Our client is a rapidly growing leader in online training and live training across a wide range of industries and professions. You’ll lead and facilitate a high-impact agile team responsible for developing a next-generation Learning Management System (LMS) that focuses on modernization, user experience, and efficiency. This position is crucial to improving sprint execution, team accountability, and delivery performance. As a dedicated Scrum Master, you will remove impediments, coach team members on Agile best practices, and work cross-functionally to align delivery with strategic goals.

Requirements: 5+ years of experience as a Scrum Master in Agile software development environments. Proven track record of guiding teams through Agile transformations and improving delivery performance. Deep understanding of Agile frameworks and the ability to tailor practices to team needs. Strong skills in facilitation, coaching, and conflict resolution. Experience working with distributed teams across multiple time zones and cultures. Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Miro, or similar Agile platforms. Fluent English. Nice to have: Background in LMS or education technology. Certified Scrum Master (CSM), PMI-ACP, or equivalent Agile certification.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a dedicated Scrum Master for agile teams focused on LMS development and modernization.

• Facilitate all Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.

• Partner with Product Owners to ensure well-defined backlogs and high-quality grooming sessions.

• Drive continuous improvement in sprint delivery, reducing rollover, and improving predictability.

• Coach team members on Agile principles and promote a culture of accountability and ownership.

• Collaborate with stakeholders across time zones, fostering transparent communication, and managing cultural nuances.

• Identify and remove impediments to ensure delivery timelines are met.

• Monitor key Agile metrics (e.g., velocity, sprint burndown charts) and use the data to inform team decisions.

• Contribute to the broader Agile community of practice and help standardize delivery processes across teams.
