We're looking for a Software Engineer (Scala) who can start on short notice on a high-impact modernization project.

What you'll be doing
Translate product/architecture requirements into clear technical specs and implementation plans
Design and implement provider-agnostic JVM libraries (Scala) for uploads & URL generation
Migrate services onto the new abstraction layer with backward compatibility and zero user impact
Ship robust, well-tested code that follows industry best practices and existing architecture patterns
Contribute to architecture reviews, code reviews, and long-term media platform decisions
Requirements
-
This is you
-
6+ years building and operating large-scale distributed systems
-
Strong JVM background, Scala highly preferred

Solid grasp of microservices & event-driven design and inter-service communication

Comfortable running services in AWS or GCP with production SLAs

DevOps mindset: CI/CD, deployment automation, IaC familiarity
