Job title: Senior SAP Developer
About the Role The Senior SAP Developer designs, builds, and optimizes custom developments on SAP ECC, S/4HANA and BTP to support end-to-end business processes. The role partners with functional streams and Technology teams to deliver robust, secure, and performant solutions aligned with architectural and coding standards. Reports to Global SAP Technology Lead.
What You'll Do
- Design, develop, test, and deploy high quality ABAP solutions within SAP ECC and S/4HANA and end-to-end cloud applications using SAP Business Application Studio BAS.
- Build and optimize CDS Views, AMDPs, BOPF/RAP objects, and OData services for Fiori/UI5 applications.
- Enhance standard SAP functionality using User Exits, BADIs, Enhancement Framework, and Custom Objects. Develop SmartForms, Adobe Forms, ALV reports, Interfaces (IDoc, RFC, REST/JSON).
- Conduct performance analysis and tuning of ABAP programs.
- Design and develop end-to-end cloud applications using BAS. Backend engineering with OData services and business logic using the SAP CAP model (Node.js, Java or Python).
- Data Modeling: Create and manage data models using CDS and deploy them to SAP HANA Cloud. Frontend development with SAPUI5, Fiori Elements, and Fiori Freestyle techniques.
- Integrations between BTP applications and backend systems (S/4HANA, ECC) using SAP Destination Service and SAP Cloud Connector.
- DevOps and deployment: Manage application lifecycles using MTA archives, Cloud Foundry, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Partner with functional consultants and Technology teams.
What We're Looking For
- 8+ years SAP ABAP with at least 3+ years on S/4HANA.
- Strong expertise in CDS, AMDP/SQLScript, OData Gateway, OO ABAP; RAP preferred.
- Proven RICEFW delivery; integration experience (IDoc, RFC BAPI, REST/JSON).
- Forms development Adobe/SmartForms and advanced debugging/performance tuning.
- IDE proficiency in SAP Business Application Studio BAS or VS Code with SAP extensions.
- Framework: SAP CAP model.
- Languages: JavaScript/TypeScript preferred, Java or Python also acceptable.
- Frontend: SAPUI5, Fiori Elements, Fiori Freestyle.
Nice to Have
- Experience in planning and executing migration and rollout projects.
- Experience coordinating external partners.
