About this role
Role overview
Svitla Systems Inc. is looking for a Senior Salesforce Engineer for a full-time position (40 hours per week) in Europe. Our client is a leading provider of video analysis solutions for loss prevention and security.
You will serve as the primary owner of the client’s Salesforce org, accountable for its reliability, data accuracy, and day-to-day health across Sales, Customer Success, Marketing, Operations, and Finance. The client recently migrated its CRM from HubSpot to Salesforce, so the first 6-12 months will focus on stabilizing the post-migration org and bringing Salesforce fully in-house, while HubSpot remains in production for marketing through an active bidirectional sync. This is a hands-on role in which Salesforce comes first, with room to grow into the broader tech stack (such as n8n workflows and integrations) over time, in close partnership with the Director, Operational Excellence and Innovation.
Requirements
-
5+ years of experience administering, building, and developing on Salesforce Sales Cloud, including time as the primary or sole Salesforce owner at a B2B SaaS company, or equivalent experience owning an org without an architect above you.
-
Hands-on Apex experience: the ability to write, debug, and maintain classes, triggers, and test coverage, and to recognize when code is the wrong answer.
-
Advanced declarative automation skills (Flows, validation rules, approval processes), with the judgment to choose between declarative and programmatic solutions deliberately.
-
Lightning Web Components experience: the ability to build and maintain custom components where the standard UI falls short.
-
Integration design and troubleshooting experience with REST/SOAP APIs, native connectors, and middleware, including field mappings, sync logic, and error handling across systems.
-
Data model and architecture ownership: object design, relationships, and the discipline to think through the downstream consequences of schema decisions.
-
Deep command of the Salesforce security model: roles, profiles, permission sets, sharing rules, and auditing of third-party and integration user access.
-
Release management experience: sandbox strategy, deployments via change sets and/or SFDX, testing standards, and documentation.
-
Salesforce Certified Platform Administrator certification.
-
Will be a plus
-
Salesforce Platform Developer (formerly Platform Developer I), Platform App Builder, or Platform Administrator II (formerly Advanced Administrator) certification.
-
Experience with a HubSpot-to-Salesforce migration (a significant asset).
-
Hands-on experience with n8n or comparable workflow automation tools.
-
Experience integrating Salesforce with HubSpot, Gong, Orum, Gainsight, Ironclad, RAMP, Snowflake, Zendesk, Intercom, Mindmatrix, or NetSuite.
-
Working knowledge of NetSuite and the quote-to-cash (order-to-cash) process.
-
Background supporting Revenue Operations, Sales, or Customer Success teams in a SaaS environment.
-
Experience reducing technical debt or rationalizing an over-customized Salesforce org.
Responsibilities
-
Salesforce administration and platform ownership
-
Own the full Salesforce org end to end: configuration, automation, security model, data integrity, and performance.
-
Manage user roles, profiles, permission sets, flows, validation rules, page layouts, and declarative tooling.
-
Translate business requirements from Sales, Customer Success, Marketing, Operations, and Finance into scalable, well-documented Salesforce solutions.
-
Own the data model, object relationships, and automation architecture.
-
Design and build custom apps, objects, and tooling within Salesforce using App Builder and declarative tools.
-
Work closely with Revenue Operations analysts to ensure the data model, fields, and configurations support their reports and dashboards accurately.
-
Drive data hygiene, duplicate management, and reporting accuracy across the platform.
-
Run the intake process for Salesforce change requests, triaging by effort and impact and communicating timelines clearly.
-
Administer Salesforce Sales Engagement for the BDR team, including cadence infrastructure, work queue configuration, permissions, and the connected dialer integration.
-
Stay current on Salesforce releases, new features, and best practices, and bring relevant improvements to the team.
-
Ownership and external partners
-
Serve as the single internal owner of the Salesforce org, reviewing and approving every configuration and metadata change before it reaches production, whether it is made by you, by Sweep’s platform, or by Sweep’s professional services team.
-
Lead the transition of Salesforce from externally managed to fully in-house.
-
Direct the work of external partners: define scope, set priorities, review proposed solutions before deployment, and validate delivered work against requirements.
-
Use Sweep’s metadata mapping and impact analysis to inform changes, and independently verify its recommendations before acting on them.
-
Audit and right-size the permissions held by third-party platforms and integration users, including Sweep’s connected user, as internal ownership matures.
-
Post-migration stabilization (first 6-12 months)
-
Stabilize the post-migration org by cleaning up legacy fields and data-model items carried over from HubSpot, finalizing deduplication and lead-vs-contact routing rules, and triaging user-reported issues as adoption grows.
-
Own the health of the HubSpot-Salesforce sync from the Salesforce side, including field mappings, association logic, and sync error resolution, on which marketing attribution depends.
-
Establish durable release, sandbox, and QA practices so the org scales cleanly.
-
QA and release management
-
Lead QA for all Salesforce changes, including new features, integrations, enhancements, and bug fixes.
-
Design and execute test plans, regression testing, and UAT coordination.
-
Own the sandbox strategy (dev, QA, UAT) and manage deployments using change sets or SFDX.
-
Serve as the final quality gate before every production deployment.
-
Maintain release notes and a change log for every deployment.
-
Platform reliability and technical debt
-
Monitor org health, governor limits, and system performance proactively.
-
Troubleshoot and resolve Salesforce issues quickly, and perform root cause analysis on production incidents.
-
Identify and reduce technical debt by retiring unused fields, flows, objects, and automations.
-
Keep the org clean, well structured, and easy to maintain over time.
-
Documentation and user enablement
-
Document every meaningful system change: what was built, how it works, and what it affects.
-
Maintain current architecture documentation for the data model, key automations, and integrations.
-
Build and maintain training materials and enablement resources for Salesforce users.
-
Write runbooks for common issues and recurring operational tasks.
-
Revenue technology and automation support
-
Own the Salesforce side of integrations and help reduce the number of tools in use.
-
Develop a working knowledge of NetSuite and the quote-to-cash process to collaborate with the systems team and keep Salesforce and NetSuite in sync.
-
Understand the full order-to-cash flow and how data moves between systems, and flag or resolve issues where handoffs break down.
-
Build and maintain automated workflows in n8n or similar tools as needed.
-
Identify automation opportunities across the revenue technology stack that reduce manual effort and improve data flow.
-
Contribute to broader revenue technology tooling where your technical skills add value, with room to grow this part of the role over time.
-
