About this role
Senior Salesforce Administrator
The Senior Salesforce Administrator role will support Salesforce and applications integrating to Salesforce. This role must have a strong understanding of operations and development processes as well as experience with project management, data management, and administering training. Salesforce at the core, surrounded by tools such as Gong, Clari, Marketo, and Ironclad. As a Senior Production Support Engineer, you will be the front line of that stack.
You'll Get To:
Make Your Mark
BlackLine's go-to-market teams run on a connected stack of enterprise applications: Salesforce at the core, surrounded by tools such as Gong, Clari, Marketo, and Ironclad. When those systems work well, our Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, Legal, and Finance teams can focus on customers. When they don't, the business feels it immediately.
As a Senior Production Support Engineer, you will be the front line of that stack. Based in Bengaluru and reporting to a manager in the United States, you will own day-to-day production support for our go-to-market applications, resolve incidents, deliver configuration changes, and keep the platforms healthy and compliant. You will work directly with BlackLine employees at every level, from sales reps to senior leaders, understanding their needs, setting clear expectations, and delivering. You will also coordinate the work of India-based contractor resources, ensuring quality and timeliness, and report progress and risks back to your US manager.
This role suits someone who is technically deep in Salesforce administration, comfortable in the ambiguity of production support, and energized by helping people get things done. If you like owning outcomes, building trust with stakeholders, and making systems quietly reliable, you will fit right in.
You'll Get To
- Own production support. Serve as the primary production support engineer for BlackLine's go-to-market applications, including Salesforce (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, CPQ as applicable) and connected tools such as Gong, Clari, Marketo, Ironclad, and related integrations.
- Resolve incidents end to end. Triage, prioritize, and resolve incidents and service requests within agreed SLAs; perform root-cause analysis on recurring issues and drive permanent fixes rather than repeat workarounds.
- Administer and configure. Deliver Salesforce administration and configuration: users, profiles, permission sets, roles and sharing, flows and automation, validation rules, page layouts, reports and dashboards, data loads, and release management across sandboxes and production.
- Keep the integrations healthy. Monitor integrations between Salesforce and surrounding GTM systems (marketing automation, revenue intelligence, contract lifecycle, ERP/finance handoffs); detect, diagnose, and resolve sync failures and data-quality issues.
- Partner with the business. Act as a trusted point of contact for BlackLine employees at all levels, including senior leaders. Gather requirements, clarify scope, communicate status proactively, and set and manage realistic expectations on timelines and trade-offs.
- Coordinate contractor resources. Assign, review, and quality-check the work of India-based contractor resources supporting the GTM stack. Ensure standards are followed, unblock issues, and hold the team accountable for delivery.
- Report back with clarity. Provide clear, timely reporting to your US-based manager on ticket volume and trends, open risks, contractor throughput, and platform health. Escalate early when something is off track.
- Document and govern. Maintain runbooks, knowledge articles, configuration documentation, and change logs so that support is repeatable and auditable. Contribute to SOX/ITGC change-management evidence where required.
- Improve continuously. Identify recurring pain points and propose automation, process, or configuration improvements that reduce ticket volume and improve user experience across the GTM stack.
- Support releases and on-call. Participate in release support, planned maintenance, and an on-call rotation for critical GTM system incidents, including occasional off-hours work.
