About the Role The Senior Sales Engineer – Treatment Aquatics at Xylem is responsible for managing and growing strategic accounts, developing and implementing sales strategies, and achieving sales targets in the water treatment and aquatics space. This role emphasizes building lasting client relationships, conducting market research, and delivering value through innovative water solutions.

What You'll Do

  • Generate new leads and prospects; build and maintain client relationships
  • Conduct sales meetings and presentations; negotiate and close deals
  • Meet or exceed sales targets; provide regular sales forecasts and reports
  • Identify and capitalize on market trends and opportunities
  • Manage and grow existing client accounts; conduct regular check-ins to ensure satisfaction
  • Address and resolve client concerns; pursue upselling and cross-selling opportunities
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely and successful delivery of products/services
  • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan for the assigned territory; identify key accounts and prospects
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities; plan and manage travel to visit clients within the territory
  • Maintain thorough understanding of the company's products and services; communicate features and benefits to clients
  • Provide feedback for product improvements; keep accurate records of sales activities and client interactions
  • Submit necessary paperwork and reports in a timely manner; manage and track sales-related expenses; participate in team meetings and training

What We're Looking For

  • A bachelor’s degree in business, economics, finance, or a related field with at least 4 years of experience or equivalent
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills; proficiency in data analysis tools
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment; eagerness to learn and take on new challenges
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

Nice to Have

  • Experience in the water technology or utilities sector is a plus
