Senior Sales Engineer – Power/Cooling

Role Overview:

In this role, you will act as a technical partner to Sales, focusing on end-to-end data centre white space solutions rather than individual product domains. You will support the development of complex, integrated solutions that combine multiple Vertiv technologies to meet customer requirements.

This position requires a systems-level mindset, where power, cooling, and IT infrastructure are considered as part of a broader, integrated solution rather than standalone offerings.

Key Responsibilities

• Support Sales teams in shaping and positioning white space (end-to-end) solutions for data centre customers
• Act as a technical advisor to customers, understanding overall infrastructure needs and translating them into holistic solution designs
• Develop and support proposals, tenders, and technical presentations that reflect integrated Vertiv capabilities across multiple domains
• Collaborate with internal engineering, product, and application teams to ensure solutions are technically sound, competitive, and aligned to customer requirements
• Engage early in the sales cycle to influence solution architecture and positioning
• Support customization and adaptation of solutions where standard offerings do not fully meet customer needs

Profile:

• Strong technical understanding of data centre infrastructure at system level (white space)

• Ability to connect and position multiple technologies (power, thermal, IT, prefabricated, etc.) as one integrated solution

• Experience in technical sales, solution engineering, or applications engineering within data centre or critical infrastructure environments

• Commercial mindset with the ability to translate technical concepts into customer value

• Technical Expertise

• Strong system-level understanding of data centre white space architecture (power, cooling, IT infrastructure, containment, etc.)

• Proven ability to integrate multi-domain technologies into end-to-end solutions

• Solid understanding of modern IT infrastructure, including:

• Server and compute architectures

• Storage and networking fundamentals

• Hyperscale and enterprise IT environments

• Awareness of latest server technologies and high-performance computing trends, including GPU-based systems

• Foundational understanding of AI/ML applications and workloads, including their impact on:

• Infrastructure design

• Power density and scaling

• Advanced cooling requirements (air/liquid)

• Ability to translate IT and application requirements into infrastructure and white space solution designs
