About the Role L3Harris Integrated Mission Systems is seeking an experienced Software Engineer with a strong background in the Rust programming language to guide the next generation of mission-critical systems. The role focuses on applying Rust in embedded development, guiding memory-safe usage, and helping modernize components for C5 and Cyber Solutions.
What You'll Do
- Guide adoption of Rust throughout embedded development
- Manage integration or conversion of legacy software to Rust
- Provide best practices and architectural guidance for memory-safe usage of Rust
- Develop best practices and implementation guidance for Rust usage
- Translate requirements into working, maintainable solutions for our C5 and Cyber Solutions
What We're Looking For
- Strong background in Rust programming language and proven experience developing systems with Rust
- Experience guiding adoption of Rust in embedded environments
- Ability to translate requirements into actionable software designs
- Knowledge of memory-safe programming practices in Rust
- Experience with legacy software modernization or conversion projects
