You will be a confident technical specialist, comfortable working independently while building strong relationships with customers, colleagues and industry professionals. Whether advising on complex regulatory matters, assessing plans or supporting projects through to completion, you'll combine sound professional judgement with a pragmatic, customer-focused approach.

To be successful in this role, you will:

  • Have Building Control experience, supported by a strong working knowledge of the Building Act 1984, Building Regulations 2010 and associated legislation.
  • Enjoy managing a varied and challenging workload, demonstrating excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise effectively.
  • Be an excellent communicator, capable of building credibility and positive relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, customers and colleagues.
  • Thrive in a collaborative environment while having the confidence and professional judgement to work autonomously when required.
  • Ideally hold membership of a recognised professional body such as CABE, CIOB or RICS.
  • Be committed to ongoing professional development, continuous improvement and upholding the highest professional standards in line with the Registered Building Inspector Code of Conduct.
