About the Role The Dallas office of Squire Patton Boggs is seeking a Senior Real Estate Associate with experience handling complex commercial real estate development and purchase and sale transactions, financing (representing both borrowers and lenders), and leasing (representing landlords and tenants). What You'll Do
- Draft and negotiate purchase and sale agreements, easements, declarations, and other development-related documents
- Draft and negotiate loan documents
- Prepare and negotiate leases in all sectors
- Close acquisition, sale, and financing transactions
- Work through complex title insurance issues
- Supervise junior associates
- Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Prioritize and handle urgent tasks with competence and accuracy; maintain ethical standards and confidentiality; deliver strong client service
- Work independently, showing initiative in seeking and managing work; contribute to project development or alternative strategies for client cases What We're Looking For
- 7+ years of real estate experience
- Admitted to a US State Bar and in good standing; admission to the Bar in the state of the primary office expected if not currently admitted
- JD from an accredited law school with a strong academic record
- Excellent credentials
- Ability to handle drafting and negotiating purchase and sale agreements, easements, declarations, development-related documents; drafting and negotiating loan documents; preparing and negotiating leases; closing transactions; dealing with title insurance issues; supervising junior associates
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities; flexibility, composure, and the ability to prioritize and handle urgent tasks with a high level of competence and accuracy; commitment to ethical and confidentiality requirements; strong client service skills; ability to work without constant supervision; initiative in formulating and recommending projects or alternative ways to complete projects for client benefit Compensation & Benefits We offer a professional and friendly work environment with competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits.
