About the Role The Columbus office of Squire Patton Boggs seeks a Senior Real Estate Associate with experience handling complex commercial real estate development and purchase-and-sale transactions, financing (representing both borrowers and lenders), and leasing (representing landlords and tenants). The role supports a large, global real estate practice serving multiple sectors, with opportunities to handle sophisticated matters across development, financing, and leasing. What You'll Do
- Draft and negotiate purchase and sale agreements, easements, declarations, and other development-related documents
- Draft and negotiate loan documents
- Prepare and negotiate leases in all sectors
- Close acquisition, sale, and financing transactions
- Navigate complex title insurance issues
- Supervise junior associates
- Maintain excellent written and verbal communication with clients; uphold high ethical and confidentiality standards
- Prioritize urgent tasks and manage workload with minimal supervision and professional composure What We're Looking For
- 7+ years of real estate experience
- Admitted to a US State Bar and in good standing; bar admission in the state of the primary office expected if not currently admitted
- JD from an accredited law school with a strong academic record; excellent credentials
- Demonstrated knowledge, skills, and experience in drafting and negotiating real estate documents, loan documents, leases, and related closing activities; ability to handle complex title issues; experience supervising junior associates; strong written and verbal communication abilities; client service focus; ethical and confidential approach; ability to work independently and propose efficient ways to complete projects Compensation & Benefits
