About the Role Senior Quality Engineer - Large Projects provides Quality Assurance leadership to ensure Watts meets or exceeds customer requirements by developing, improving, and maintaining a consistent methodology for compliance and continuous improvement. Focus areas include Customer Quality, New Product Development Quality, Supplier Quality, Production Quality, Sustaining Quality for the Large Project area, and Quality Business Systems. This position is based at Watts' St. Pauls, NC manufacturing location and will be a corporate role with influence on individual sites as the primary operating mode. Travel up to 50% is required; relocation assistance is available. What You'll Do

  • Lead Customer Quality issues across Watts manufacturing sites and Customer Service to establish and maintain best practices in Customer Quality assurance, including root cause/corrective action and follow-up; program management of customer issues; tracking, trending, and reporting; and global resolution as needed.
  • Elevate Customer Interaction Standards for all of Quality.
  • Drive New Product Development (NPD) Quality for Large Projects; ensure adherence to the NPD process, active requirement management, and full grounding of new products with procedures, sampling and quality plans, certifications, and other classic quality requirements.
  • Manage Supplier Quality for Large Projects; supplier capability assessments, supplier quality audits, PPAP, SCAR, and CI activities; communicate with suppliers and interface with Materials Management; share best practices across sites.
  • Promote and share Quality standards across Watts sites; support the Quality Council and stay updated on site certifications and audits; advance Quality tools (RCCA, PPAP, gage R&R, SPC, process controls, audits).
  • Maintain and support the Corporate Quality Operating System including MOR analysis and reporting, data integrity, and support for eCAB; standing up and chairing the Corporate Executive Corrective Action Board; participate in Annual and Strategic Planning.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners to ensure Quality is embedded throughout the product lifecycle. What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related engineering, manufacturing, or business discipline.
  • 7+ years of experience applying Total Quality concepts in a manufacturing environment; 7+ years of manufacturing management experience; 7+ years Lean Six Sigma experience and training.
  • Experience in basic metrology and calibration; proficiency with Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Advanced Analytical Techniques.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of engineering, Lean Six Sigma, and quality principles, concepts, practices, and theories.
  • Proficiency with MS Office; Minitab proficiency preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively with Customer and Supplier representatives on quality issues.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50%.

  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certification (preferred).
  • Minitab proficiency.
