Job title: Senior Quality Engineer - Functional Testing & Automation
About the Role Senior Quality Engineer - Functional Testing & Automation will contribute to product verification and testing for Data Center routing & switching platforms for a major enterprise networking equipment provider. You will test feature functionality, develop end-to-end test strategies, and collaborate with development, product management, and customer solution engineering teams to validate deployments and customer scenarios.
What You'll Do
- Test feature functionality and system test profiles for data center networks, network security and routing technologies in collaboration with development, product management, and customer solution engineering teams.
- Develop test strategy, topology and plan to validate features end-to-end at scale with security considerations.
- Understand customer deployments across data center networks, security, routing and switching; validate customer profiles.
- Execute test cases and document results on interoperability and customer deployment scenarios.
- Translate software requirements into high-quality test automation suites with the development team.
- Debug and troubleshoot complex issues; validate fixes with engineering.
- Develop automation for end-to-end solution validation and integrate automation for seamless validation.
- Review customer deployments and issues; address gaps in test coverage.
- Involve in customer deployments and escalations to help customers deploy Client's solutions.
What We're Looking For
- Minimum of B.S./B.E./B.Tech in CS/EE/ECE/IT.
- 8+ years of relevant industry experience in Networking/Telecom Embedded/Network Management with hands-on experience in functional, system test and automation.
- Proven knowledge and experience in testing Data Center Network platforms.
- Proven knowledge and experience in Data Center Network IP Fabric, VXLAN EVPN, Network Virtualization Framework.
- Proven knowledge and experience in Network Security and Routing Protocols (MPLS, ISIS, BGP, Multicast).
- Hands-on experience in test plan development and validating scalable data center network and network security solutions.
- Experience planning/building large-scale system test topologies with knowledge of test automation tools and software test tools and virtualization platforms such as VMware, OpenStack and Linux OS variants.
- Hands-on experience developing test automation suites using Python or similar scripting language.
- Ability to develop and publish solution validation documents and test reports.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate at all levels of the organization.
- Highly motivated and self-driven; able to collaborate cross-functionally to meet challenging goals.
- English: B2 Upper Intermediate.
- Senior level position based in Bengaluru, India.
