Senior QA Automation Engineer

About the Role

Join Wipro as a Senior QA Automation Engineer responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust test automation solutions for complex software applications. This role focuses on Java-based automation using Selenium and Cucumber to ensure high quality deliveries across Agile/Waterfall projects. What You'll Do

• Hands-on with Cucumber, Selenium, and UFT to build reliable automated tests and maintain automation frameworks.
• Develop Java-based automation scripts and libraries using TestNG/JUnit and Rest Assured for API testing.
• Design and implement reusable test assets, utilities, and framework components for scalable test automation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define test strategies, ensure SDLC compliance (Agile, Waterfall), and drive quality improvements.
• Manage code and builds with Bitbucket, Maven, and ANT; integrate with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins) and version control (Git).
• Execute automated tests, analyze failures, debug issues, and apply debugging and problem-solving skills (strong OOPs concepts).
• Contribute to QA processes using Octane, JIRA, HP ALM and support API testing workstreams.
• Lead framework development using Cucumber and TestNG to ensure maintainable, scalable test automation. What We're Looking For
• 8-10 years total experience, with 5-8 years in test automation.
• Minimum 3 years of Java development experience.
• Hands-on with Cucumber, Selenium, UFT.
• Strong OOPs concepts, debugging, and problem-solving abilities.
• Familiarity with JUnit, TestNG; experience with Bitbucket, Maven, ANT, and SDLC methodologies (Agile, Waterfall).
• Knowledge of QA processes and tools like Octane, JIRA, HP ALM.
• Java/Selenium automation scripting; API testing with Rest Assured.
• Framework development using Cucumber and TestNG.
• CI/CD tools like Jenkins and Git.

• Salary: The expected compensation for this role ranges from $60,000 to $135,000 USD per year. Final compensation will depend on factors including location, skills, and experience.
