Job title: Senior Project Manager

About the Role Renishaw is seeking a Senior Project Manager to coordinate multi-disciplinary product development within the Laser Calibration Products Division (LCPD). You’ll manage projects from planning through to delivery, ensuring adherence to design change and new product development processes, and provide status updates to stakeholders at all levels.

What You'll Do

  • Manage the lifecycle of multi-disciplinary projects from planning to market delivery, using the most optimal methods
  • Manage project cost and resource forecasts
  • Manage design change in line with engineering change procedures, collaborating with design and manufacturing to implement changes into production
  • Develop and maintain accurate project documentation and plans in compliance with Renishaw and legal standards
  • Regularly report on project status and risks to stakeholders through written, verbal, and formal presentations
  • Take a hands-on role to understand and help resolve engineering problems

What We're Looking For

  • Degree or HND in engineering or scientific discipline, or the ability to demonstrate comparable applied knowledge and experience
  • Knowledge of project planning and project management techniques
  • Technical awareness and understanding of design functions and engineering change processes
  • Previous experience in a project/risk management role, ideally within a complex engineering environment
  • Awareness of MRP/ERP systems
  • Understanding of metrology and optical measurement technology (Desirable)
  • Experience of Design/Process FMEA & risk management (Desirable)
  • APMP/PMQ Qualified (Desirable)
  • Experience of configuration management systems for managing software development and changes (e.g., Microsoft DevOps, Atlassian products, SharePoint etc) (Desirable)

Nice to Have

  • Metrology and optical measurement technology knowledge
  • Design/Process FMEA experience
  • APMP qualification
  • Configuration management tools experience (DevOps/Atlassian/SharePoint)

  • Salary: Up to £48,000 per year, depending on experience
