About the Role Based in Cudahy, WI, Copeland is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead Engineer to Order (ETO) projects and other project types, delivering complex projects and creating an exceptional customer experience. You will collaborate with sales, engineering, planning, purchasing, production, finance, logistics and field services to drive successful project delivery.
What You'll Do
- Initiate, plan, execute, monitor and control complex Refrigeration, Gas Compression and other strategic projects.
- Ensure accountability across the organization to meet customer expectations and clearly communicate the critical path to all functional areas.
- Manage changes to project scope, schedule, resources and costs.
- Perform risk management to minimize project risks and resolve critical issues as they arise.
- Build, develop and maintain customer, vendor and other relationships vital to project success and Vilter.
- Maintain customer satisfaction by investigating concerns and implementing corrective actions.
- Maintain and improve project, program and portfolio management processes and tools.
- Track industry trends, legislation and competitor activities; coach and mentor project team members.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or MBA or PMP Certification.
- 7+ years of professional work experience.
- 4+ years of Project Management experience in a manufacturing organization, preferably HVAC.
- Experience managing project teams of 10+ and mid-scale, complex projects with multiple stakeholders.
- Experience managing projects with budgets up to $750,000 and timelines up to 12 months.
- Proficiency in project management software packages, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and MS Office.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple projects & priorities.
- Experience influencing without formal authority.
- Requires a valid passport and US Driver's License; ability to travel up to 15%.
Nice to Have
- Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.
- Refrigeration or oil & gas industry experience.
- Lean/Six Sigma training and experience with various PM methodologies.
- Strong relationship management, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and listening skills; ability to interpret client needs.
