Job title: Senior Project Manager
About the Role The Senior Project Manager is responsible for day-to-day project management of federal facility construction projects in the Gulf Coast region, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, safety, and client coordination. This role serves as the on-site liaison with the Government Contracting Official and directs subcontractors and vendors to ensure compliance with contract documents, safety rules, and quality standards.
What You'll Do
- Plan, schedule, organize, direct, and control assigned construction projects from start to finish according to scope, schedule and budget.
- Manage self-perform work and oversight of subcontractors and subconsultants; monitor performance and ensure quality workmanship.
- Prepare daily construction activity reports; oversee change proposals, RFIs, submittals, and other contract documentation.
- Coordinate with Contract Manager to ensure subcontract packages, government documents, W-9, COIs, certified payroll, lien waivers, and Schedule of Values are properly completed and returned.
- Participate in preconstruction and progress meetings; coordinate project and subcontractor meetings.
- Support site health and safety plans in accordance with OSHA and EM 385-1-1; enforce client safety policies.
- Maintain professional standards and provide superior customer service to clients and stakeholders.
- Review progress reports, issue progress schedules, and communicate status to clients; manage final inspections and project closeout; handle warranty responses with the Site Superintendent.
- Ensure adherence to budgets and schedules; liaise with Government Contracting Official on-site.
- Travel as required to project sites across the Gulf Coast region.
What We're Looking For
- Extensive experience in construction project management, preferably on government/federal contracts.
- Strong leadership, mentoring, and personnel management skills; ability to manage multiple projects of considerable size and complexity.
- Knowledge of EM 385-1-1 and OSHA safety guidelines; ability to implement and monitor project safety programs.
- Proficiency in contract administration, subcontractor coordination, and reporting.
- Excellent communication with clients, team members, and government officials; ability to work with minimal supervision and under pressure.
Nice to Have
- Experience with electrical, IT and physical security upgrades; civil and utility works including underground water infrastructure.
- Familiarity with Mountain Point subcontracting processes and government documentation requirements.
- Pre-construction planning and business development experience.
